Description
《左传·庄公二十八年》，“夏，（献公）使大子申生居曲沃，重耳居蒲城，夷吾居屈。”杜预注：“蒲，今平阳蒲子县，二屈居今平阳北屈县。或云：二当为北。”山西师范大学对隰县附近遗址进行调查，认为蒲子城址位于今天的隰县古城村。调查中发现了大量汉代砖瓦，部分带有“官匠”款的铭文，应当是汉代的县治所在。以往曾在古城村发现过带有“蒲”铭文的陶器和刻有“蒲关“二字的筒瓦。《隰县志》提到，该城面积1平方公里，夯土底部宽16~30米。采集丰富陶片。有“蒲尉”，“蒲”字陶文，可能是战国时期的蒲子县。
