Description
《史记·秦本纪》，“秦伐取赵中都、西阳》。《水经注·汾水》记载，” 侯甲水又西北迳中都县故城南，城临际水湄。《春秋·昭公二年》，晋侯执陈无宇于中都者也。汉文帝为代王，都此。武帝元封四年，上幸中都宫，殿上见光，赦中都死罪以下。“《括地志》云”中都故县在汾州平遥县西十二里。“这一位置在今天中都乡以南，此处有中都桥遗址，在县城以西5公里桥头村一带，桥身已经淤埋。中都桥附近有双林寺，原名中都寺，北齐武平二年重修。双林寺与中都桥可能与中都县治有关。
