高平寺村Gaopingsicun

遗址，战国至汉代遗址，平面呈正方形，边长约1300米，现有高平寺、大赵庄、小赵庄、桥口、曹庄5个自然村；农田基本建设中多次发现战国楚国"蚁鼻钱"以及秦"半两"、汉代五铢、布币、大泉五十、货泉等；另发现南北朝"货泉"窖藏6座，出土货泉以数千斤计；亦常见战国、汉代铜箭头。作者考证此处为东汉名相袁安乡里，即汉代汝阳故城（区别于商水县境北魏侨设的汝阳郡县）。

Site, a Warring-States-through-Han-dynasty site, square in plan, about 1,300 m to a side; now comprising 5 natural villages -- Gaopingsi, Dazhaozhuang, Xiaozhaozhuang, Qiaokou, and Caozhuang. Farmland-construction work has repeatedly turned up Warring-States Chu ant-nose coins as well as Qin Ban Liang, Han-dynasty Wuzhu, spade coins, Da Quan Wu Shi, and Huo Quan coins; 6 Southern-and-Northern-Dynasties Huo Quan hoards have also been found, yielding Huo Quan coins reckoned in the thousands of jin. Warring-States and Han-dynasty bronze arrowheads are also common finds. The author identifies this as the home village of the famous Eastern Han minister Yuan An, i.e. the Han-dynasty old city of Ruyang (distinct from the Northern-Wei-era displaced Ruyang commandery/county seat within Shangshui County).
