Description
Context unknown. On 15 March 1981, while digging earth for road repair, a small pottery jar was unearthed on a mound at the northwest corner of the site, containing about 430-odd bronze ant-nose coins, 3 bronze round coins (too corroded to identify any inscription), and 16 bronze arrowheads -- over 450 pieces in total (with more presumably dispersed among the laborers and never collected). The ant-nose coins are flat on one side and bear an incised character on the other, all reading "Xun"; traces of decayed hemp cloth are visible on the coins, suggesting they were first placed in a hemp sack before being put into the jar. Han-dynasty fragmentary bricks and tiles, and Zhou-dynasty li-tripod legs and dou-dish handles, were also left on the mound.
