不明，美国退役军人Dave Daveport在寻找二战冲绳战役遗留物的过程中，在一处洞穴中用金属探测仪发现。重新调查洞穴发现，洞穴下层有绳文时代晚期的堆积。1991年发现。
Context unknown. Discovered by US Army veteran Dave Davenport with a metal detector in a cave, while searching for relics of the WWII Battle of Okinawa. A follow-up survey of the cave found late-Jōmon-period deposits in its lower layers. Discovered in 1991.
