上柏Shangbai

墓葬，上柏汉墓，印文字口不清，下边原铸，其余均见切割痕迹；出土于西汉墓中，据文中分析属秦汉时期楚金版不受楚制限制而随葬的个例，因其黄金材质被单纯以贵金属物质贮藏，货币职能已丧失，仅作财富体现；浙江地区出土楚金版墓葬伴例（另见江苏宝应东汉墓、湖北宜昌前坪7号西汉墓、湖北云梦睡虎地M25秦墓）；馆藏编号A2311。1998年发现。

Tomb. A Han-dynasty tomb at Shangbai; the impression's strokes are unclear; the lower edge is original casting, the rest showing cutting marks. Recovered from a Western Han tomb; per the source's analysis, this is a case of a Chu gold plate, unconstrained by Chu-state regulations, being used as a grave good in the Qin-Han period -- its gold content meant it was stored purely as a precious-metal object, its currency function already lost, serving only to represent wealth. Comparable cases of Chu gold plates found in tombs elsewhere in Zhejiang (see also the Eastern Han tomb at Baoying, Jiangsu; Western Han Tomb 7 at Qianping, Yichang, Hubei; and the Qin tomb M25 at Shuihudi, Yunmeng, Hubei).
