郯国故城Tanguo Gucheng

不明，1990年、1992年、1994年和1996年四次对郯国故城城墙或城内局部进行了解剖或发掘，基本明确了城墙的建造结构、方法和时代。城墙由墙基、内侧护坡和墙体三部分组成，系堆土夯筑而成，墙基底部宽约60米～70米，墙体宽约40米～50米，内侧护坡呈缓斜坡状、紧贴墙体，宽度约9米～13米。现存局部西、北城墙，残高约4～8米，东、南城墙已被推平。城墙初建年代为战国晚至汉初，两汉时曾有过修补、加固；城内文化堆积深厚、一般在2米～3米，延续时间较长、内涵丰富。遗迹见有道路、城壕、墓葬和手工业作坊等，遗物见有蚁鼻钱、半两钱、五铢钱等货币，铜盘、铜匜等铜器，以及鬲、豆、盂、盆、罐等陶器与砖、瓦当等建筑构件，遗存主体为两汉时期，部分早到东周时期。

Context unknown. Four rounds of sectioning or excavation of the walls or interior of Tanguo Gucheng took place in 1990, 1992, 1994, and 1996, largely clarifying the construction, method, and dating of the city walls. The walls consist of three parts -- a base, an inner-side slope revetment, and the wall body -- all built of rammed and piled earth; the base is about 60-70 m wide, the wall body about 40-50 m wide, and the inner-side slope revetment, a gently sloping bank hugging the wall body, is about 9-13 m wide. Portions of the west and north walls survive, standing about 4-8 m high; the east and south walls have been leveled. The walls were first built in the late Warring States to early Han period, with repairs and reinforcement during the two Han dynasties; cultural deposits within the city are deep, generally 2-3 m thick, spanning a long period with rich content. Remains include roads, a city moat, tombs, and craft workshops; finds include coins such as ant-nose coins, Ban Liang coins, and Wuzhu coins, bronze vessels such as pan basins and yi ewers, pottery including li-tripods, dou dishes, yu basins, pen basins, and jars, and architectural components such as bricks and tile-ends. The bulk of the remains date to the two Han dynasties, with some as early as the Eastern Zhou period.
